Forty five volunteers of the NSS participated in a one week programme in Satya Nagar, Pettai, a village adopted by SCAD. The students worked among the leprosy affected patients which they termed as "eye opening". Mr. Joseph Selvakumar, Lecturer, Maths, coordinated the programme with the help of Mr. Isac Joshua and Mr. Subash.

FX Nature club was inaugurated on July 8th, 2009 with the aim of creating awareness about global warming, its implications, the need to avoid plastics and the importance of planting trees.

"Education is the manifestation of divine perfection, already existing in man", said Swami Vivekananda. A prayer cell was established in January 2010, which conducts periodical prayer meeting for students as well as staff.

The Counseling cell was established in the current academic year. It is headed by the Principal and guided by the Director. The heads of departments are the members of the cell. The cell identifies the students with various problems and offers them constructive counseling. The students counseled are monitored and followed up periodically.
